What The Mower Shed records when a page is read, what it does not collect, and how a message from a reader is handled.
The Mower Shed is a set of static pages served from a content delivery network. It sets no advertising cookie, runs no tracking script and builds no reader profile. A page can be read without accepting anything.
What the server records
Like every web server, the host keeps a short lived technical log: the requested address, the time, the response code and the network address the request came from. Those logs are used to keep the site reachable and are not combined with anything else or sold.
What this desk does not collect
No account, no newsletter list, no comment form and no analytics profile. There is no field on this site that asks a reader for a name, an address or a payment detail.
Messages
When a reader writes to the desk, the message and its attachments are kept only long enough to answer and to check the source it contains. A document published in an entry is credited as the reader asks, or left unattributed on request.
Links to other sites
An entry may link to another desk or to a public document. Once a reader follows such a link, the privacy policy of that site applies, not this one.
Changes
This page is revised when the site changes what it records. The date of the last check is shown with the page.
